Roof is down

Well this pics are quite self-explanatory, with the help of two more guys we tear through the tiles, cut the underlying wood with a chain-saw and then dismatled the main beam and the vertical posts, letting them fall down, it was all done in about six hours. The rest was nothing than taking the debris outside. Now there is lots of natural light into the house, and better views even!

Amaya fortress of the Cantabros

We went to visit the antique fortress of the "Cantabros" people that used to be settled here from the tenth century b.C. from these rocky cliffs they resisted the Roman invaders until their defeat on the year 29 b.C. After this the romans were pushed out by the Visigoths, these by the Morish and those by the Christians. Bloody history of fights resounded in these walls and ravines.

Diggin

This is some rented bulldozer that really rocks, is small enough to fit through the door!

And a caterpillar dumper to take the dirt out, the job of lowering the floor almost three feet was done in a day and a half.
